Re: Can anyone school me on the yugo converted German k98 stocks?

Thanks 72 usmc My dou is weird in that the reciever, bolt & floorplate all match. While the stock , handguard, bands and rear sight all have the same serial number. It's like someone put together two rifles. After reading posts on "depot rebuilds " I had thought it might have been one, but was told ...

Can anyone school me on the yugo converted German k98 stocks?

I putzed around ( read broke ) and missed out on the cheap German k98 stocks. I have a Brno made model 98 made at dou in 43. The stock was heavily modified before I bought the rifle to include the following Buttstock cut down to add a pachmayr recoil pad Stock sling slot filled in, Bolt takedown dis...

Re: Parts, and a Springfield Sporters update

This is good news as Apex is a parts dealer and will want to sell them. It'd have been great had S.S been able to stay in business as they had the knowledge of the inventory. But I don't begrudge him his retirement. Can't enjoy it if you aren't alive to do so. I was trying to keep an eye on century'...

Re: RC DOU 42

I thought it was a done by the importer to simplify things. Easier to apply a new number than read the old one. And everything is in a nice clean order.

Re: Swede Bayo Blade Replacement

These are cool af. Until I saw a spare blade for sale on Ebay, I never knew they were designed that way.
Pretty clever.
And good to know about the disassembly.

Pics from what I am sure is Springfield Sporters...

A guy posted a couple pics from Springfield Sporters stock of no 1 mk3 rifles converted to .410. So hoping to see more similar pics I used Google image search and this site popped up. It's in Russian, but translated over to English no problem, The place was identified as being in Springfield Massach...

Oh I definitely like the song. I played it just the other day. Cranked up so I could hear it in the shower.

Re: What do you do when you run out of TP?

For real? Back around 1984 we had a full house. My family plus moms boyfriend, his two kids and his brother and his cousin. So things ran out faster than normal. On separate occasions I cut up a paper shopping bag, a pair of worn out underwear and then a couple of coffee filters. Mom would have been...

Re: Ammo is getting scarce.................

I am ok in ammo. But could always use more. I like to check out prices. I went over to my favorite site sgammo.com and was surprised despite reading about the surge in sales only to see they'd shut down new orders for at least a week. You can't even get into their site to see what they had,. I don't...
