Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

I assume you checked the bore? The rifling is good and the crown good- no nicks. Even with wear they are good shooters. Does the bolt match, and if not, did you check its headspace with a FIELD gauge? Be sure rifling is visible at the end of the barrel and not worn smooth. Good crown, good rifling ...

The easiest thing to do is to buy a couple of M38 Turk Mauser rear sight ladders with slider. These decline the elevation, are in meters, and will put you in the black. Usually about $10 ea.
