Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Bogart and his pistol collection

Ms Bacall, who I had the pleasure of meeting once, back in the 80's, exuded class, she'd probably just do the hair shake & walk on by.
Ms Milano I have no desire to meet.

Re: M1907 sling, Daft rigging question.

UPDATE:
Got part of the answer.
Compared to the M1 Garand.
A No4 is 2 1/2" further apart.
An SMLE is a further 2 1/2" apart.
M1907's with 46-49" long section and 2-26" short ( D ring ) section. is what I got.
Get 'em long when you get em folks if you want to use them on a L-E!

M1907 sling, Daft rigging question.

Mine has finally arrived after a postal saga! I've found 2 (both 100% “Official”) ways of installing it. Re: GOT ONE! P-H (AGP) No9W sight

The finished project! . A.G. Parker No9g folding micrometer sight, from the 1910 ~1918 period at the Bisley Works. Fitted with the 6-hole eyepiece. I reamed the smallest hole out to one step bigger than the biggest. I can never use the tiny one & so have effectively bumped every aperture up one size...

Re: Oil Blackening?

It was very much experimental. Basically the tempered parts like the rear spring, took the creme blue better & the unhardened preferred the B/C wet product. But there were exceptions. The mount (unhardened so it can be bent to create a dead vertical position) liked the opposite! The windage arm (dru...
