Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: So is anyone going to the Wanenmacher's Tulsa Gun Show

How I wish we had gun shows like this in our area! 4200 tables, I would have to bring a set amount of cash, no credit card and a Prius.😐
Most of our shows are under 100 tables. If we travel 4 hours, 250 tables.
I hope you find someone to go with or meet up with. J

Re: Dick's Sporting to remove guns.

Our local funny named version closed 2 years ago. The Field and Stream has been getting smaller and smaller in the gun department for one year. I stopped going after my friend quit being the gun shop manager. I still go and look every month or so. Our town of 100k people only has two gun stores now,...

Re: Scarce

Thank you Aaronbern,
I ended up buying one in excellent condition from Edelweiss Arms. They were good to work with, and direct shipped to me. That must have been what it was like pre 1964.

I have an M1A Loaded also. Both CMI and Springfield mags run well for me. They look different, but no ftf’s from either that I can remember.

Re: Schmidt-Rubin 96/11

I see that I posted a Swiss rifle under Swedish. Perhaps my eyes need checking. Speaking of which, I really need a scope for any shooting over 50 yards. Can anyone suggest a mount that would not damage the rifle? Suggestions for scopes would be appreciated also. It looks like a scout would be needed...

Schmidt-Rubin 96/11

Hi all,
I had a good buying experience on a pre 1899 96/11 from Edelweiss Arms.
Matching numbers with the advertised 5/5 bore condition and 5/5 stock. Came with muzzle cap and period or correct sling. Paid a fairly high price, but did get as advertised , quickly and professionally. No FFL.

Scarce

Hi all I have looked a bit for a 96/11 for sale. They do seem hard to find in decent condition. I am really looking for antique, pre 1899 ones. I have not seen one at several gun shows. Online ones that I have seen are sold out. Any tips on where I might run into one? I considered other Models, but ...

Re: Hello from Virginia

Charles, I did it once in about 10 try’s. I seem to remember using a brake spoon, after 9 rounds of bad words and one bout of asking forgiveness. Not sure how I did it, but reminds me of a Ruger Mark 3. Fireman Bob on the Appleseed Forum is very good at 22 rifles. He wrote a manual on 10-22’s. He mi...

Hello from Virginia

Hi all, I love reading this forum! So much knowledge in one spot. Currently, there are only 4 historics in my safes. An SKS with all the attachments, a Lowe Argentine 1891 Carbine in better than average condition, and a Russian Mosin with 1939 date and a 95 on the receiver. All are matching numbers....

1891 Argentine Carbine

Hi all, some advice needed on 1891 Argentine carbine rear sight. It slides and won’t stay in place. Is there a spring or tensioner that I am missing or is it more of a friction fit?
I am a newbie to this forum and this rifle. Please correct me if I need it. 😐
