Re: "Mummy wrapped" Enfield #4/Mk2(F) value??

I fleetingly remember these guns as being for the "Irish Contract". They were pricy then. Being a shooter, I was happy with FTR No4. But, another friend got a consecutive
pair at a place called ED AGROMONTE in Queens ( I think). He still has them, his only milsurps

Re: Remington 1903

I have an earlier Pre war Remington 03. The fit and finish on it is beautiful. Eyes are weak now, but it would shoot with the best of them Many of these guns went to our Allies
Mine is marked NZ on the butt. The stocks are stunning walnut

Re: Movie rifle anachronism

YES These guns had fallen off a lot of horses and thrown off stagecoaches The device was screwed onto the right side of the gun to simulate a flintlock. My guess is the blank was loaded into the rifle, and as the trigger was pulled it would fire the blank . to simulate a flint lock The guns were of t...

Re: M41 Johnson rifle ???

I 'believe' . it is titled Presidents at War . Seems fairly balanced over all Interesting reading you have suggested . Many many collectors have told me in passing that the Mod.41 was produced in about 70,000 units. I think the stated figure of 20,000 is more realistic . When were you in the crotch?
