Re: A different option for a scope mount for your GSG MP44 .22

I enjoy posts that give us "work around" options. While I don't have a GSG MP44, i applaud your ingenuity.

Re: My early M1903

Really like the early 03s--beautifully crafted by master workmen. I know pre WWII Mausers have a reputation for great craftsmenship, but I'll take an 03 anyday.

Re: HK91/G3 Mags conversion for CETME

Had two CETME's. H&K mags were a hit/miss in each. Some worked, some didn't. CETME mags worked fine in my CAI faux G3. My CETMEs were early CAI builds with cast stainless rcvrs.

Nice looking rifle. I am a sucker for modded milsurps that maintain their military flavor--exp. carbines!

Re: Re upped member

Glad to have u back. Seems like many of us started out at SRF long before we became 'SEASONED CITIZENS".
Keep shooting/hunting and collecting milsurps. My fav hunting rifles are nicely modded milsurps (and an occasional Bubba).

Re: SAD NEWS

echo1, i do feel your pain. After a career in law enforcement and the military, I do believe the majority of soldiers/LEOs will do what they are told to do, regarding gun control laws. They may feel conflicted, but will think of the families they have to provide for and what other career field they ...

Re: SAD NEWS

Friends, the Second Amendment, and in fact the entire Constitution, means only what 5 of the nine judges on the Supreme Court say it means. We do not have to speculate what WILL happen if any of the "loyal opposition" candidates appoint judges!

Re: M59 Mosin~Nagant

I learned something today---did not know M59s were intended to be sold as sporters! Always thought they were cut down to be used by police, militia, etc. OT---In a precious life, I lived in Longview (go Rangerettes)! Are u old enough to remember Tony's H&T Sporting Goods?? Bought many a cool gun the...

Yes! BUT--I think it looks cool, and probably much less $$ than a correct rifle--could be a fun shooter/hunter, albeit a bit heavy.

Re: Walther PP32

Always liked the neat lines and heft of the Walther PP/PPK series. Beautifully made, and they were a bargain when (then) West German police surplused them years ago,

Thanks for the info--like to have good leather for my pistols, and "used" gun show finds are the way to go. Will keep my eyes open--
