When it comes to ammo "interchangeability", one must be VERY careful. Makarov cases are 1mm longer than .380, the bullet diameter is about 0.010 bigger, Makarov has vastly different headstamps, and 9mm Makarov will surely jam your .380 and potentially lead to SERIOUS pressure issues.

It was made at Dominion, in the 1950s, on a contract for the CIA and the US Military. It, and similar headstamped 9mm, was standard "non-attributable" ammo for various uses, and also for weapons checks/inspection for the Army and USAF well into the 1980s. The Egyptian is 1957. I have found it to be pretty accurate...when it doesn't go click...bang. And that's a 50-50 deal.
