Re: Slugging a bore, how I did mine.

TIP - Once one gets a good slug - however you obtained it - if/when you have a bore with an odd number of lands & grooves , use a locksmithing SS shim stock, one on each side at the micrometer anvils, to get a good reliable measurement. Subtract 2X the land height (or bore depth) to get the bore di...

I would love to see some photos or video of you loading & shooting this beautiful rifle
Here is a Youtube of my good friend shooting his percussion version of the Hall rifle. We haven’t made one for the flintlock version yet.

That's an interesting looking rifle. Who made it?
It is a smoothbore, Fusil de Boucanier - French smoothbore, by contemporary builder Jackie Brown, with barrel by Greg Christian.

Re: Swedish M41B ... Update! It arrived

Calfed, my bro said his load was 43-44 grains of H4350 under a 129-grn Hornady spire point. Said he shot the OCW method @ 200-yds to set the final charge, then played w/ seating depth (as he OCW method advises anyway).

Re: Faux Swedish M41B CMP vintage sniper match rifle...updated with range report

Very nice! FWIW my bro has a collection of 1 of every Swede 6.5mm bolt rifle and a few M38S had that fancy rear sight. Using h4350 powdah over 120-129-grn SMKs or equivalent shot MOA using the aperture sights.

Re: Why P51 was Faster than the BF 109

Good analysis of it all (design, engine, amrament & use) here, but compared to the superior Focke-Wulf. It correlates with what I remember my Dad telling me (335 Squadron - 4th Fighter Group - Debden, England; an ‘Eagle Squadron’ volunteer, volunteered for the Brits before the US entered the war & f...
