Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Beginning a Second Build.

Still haven't made up my mind on caliber, aside from not being a pistol caliber. Lol. Might just rock good old 5.56 because cheap. I got a Bushmaster LPK for it. Using an MOE trigger guard, and an MFT grip. That said, they aren't designed to go together, as there is a plastic lip on the grip that's ...

Beginning a Second Build.

So. I got the itch to put together another AR. I more or less expected this to happen, and my first new acquisition for 2019. Starting properly as someone who likes to tinker....a stripped lower. When I built my pistol, I started there, and while not exactly difficult, was fun, and rewarding. This t...

Re: My AR Pistol

After shooting this guy a bit, I really want to upgrade sights, put a hybrid comp/hider on it, and possibly get an entry level dot optic. A2 hider works, but the tech has advanced since then. Otherwise it's an absolute riot to shoot.

Re: They Shall Not Grow Old

I've been wanting to see this. Heard about about it some time ago. I ordered a copy, since the YouTube price, and blu ray price were the same.

Holster for Mak and PA63.

Hey all,
Found a Bianchi #5 "Black Widow" holster. Used. Cheap enough. It fits the PA63, with a little looseness... but the snaps retain the pistol ok. It fits the Makarov fantastic.
So there's an option for those who own either.

Buffalo makes some 6.5 Deaudetau, but it isn't cheap.

Re: Is it worth it?

I've been asking myself the same thing lately. I've done very, very fond memories of when I first got a C&R. I bought a lot of ammo, and several guns through the big online guys. Usually got good ones back then. Sometimes better than expected, though I usually sprung for VG or hand pick. FFF was pre...

Re: Will this ammunition work with my K98k?

Dawn dish soap, warm water and scrub. Dry patch, Hoppe's, motor oil. One kills salts, the other gets fouling, and oil because it's metal. Lol. Also I've used home rolled black powder cleaner with good results. Part rubbing alcohol, part Murphy oil soap. A few different ways to tackle the common issu...

Re: Will this ammunition work with my K98k?

I wouldn't use it with semi automatic rifles if you have any. But any large ring Mauser bolt gun in 8mm should eat it fine.

Re: Finished collection, now what?

Great curated line up!
I don't believe anyone completes a collection. Lol. If you are satisfied with your current representations, pick a slightly different area to focus on. Mausers are fine rifles. Could go earlier to represent its development, or focus on Mausers made for other countries?

Re: Martini Henry Mark 1

Good looking gun.
Jamison brass was available from Buffalo some time back, as well as straight lead projectiles. The brass was $4 a pop, though that was several years ago now.

Re: Home Rolled Solvent

Yeah this stuff doesn't sit long. Wet, scrub, wet, dry patch, oil. I've thought about modifying it to alcohol, and oil soap only, just because peroxide has the potential if neglected.
