Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Winter 2020 50 Yard Postal Shoot

What constitutes a sandbagged position? I don't have any sandbags, but could I rest it on my backpack to use like a sandbag? If nothing else I can always shoot from prone, but for me shooting the AK from prone with the regular mag feels pretty uncomfortable.

Re: Winter 2020 50 Yard Postal Shoot

How would you score 10 shots done at only 50 yards ? It would be a ragged hole . Fortunately (in reality unfortunately) I generally don't have that problem. Especially if I'm not resting it on something while shooting. I guess since we can rest the gun for this shoot, I can see your point a bit bet...

Re: Winter 2020 50 Yard Postal Shoot

AK’s with iron sights and otherwise basic, acceptable for the shoot?

Any postal matches happening this winter/spring

Haven’t been doing much to participate the last year, but wouldn’t mind taking my AK and SKS out to try for some postal matches again. Do we just put up some targets to an older thread to get things fired up again?

Re: How's Deer season gone?

Main portion of the rifle part of deer season ends today, here in Missouri. I didn't make it out today cause forecast was for storms and I have a long enough drive down to the place I hunt that it wouldn't be worth going for just a few hours. Weather turned out better than forecast though so I'm sad...

Re: Post-Yugoslavian pistols

When I first got into shopping for a handgun I badly wanted one of the CZ-99's. They sounded perfect for what I wanted. Pretty cheap, yet reliable, and lefty friendly (since I'm a lefty). First I got me a EZ-9 off of another forum's for sale section. I got used to how it handled and everything, but ...

Re: How's Deer season gone?

Any of you got any personal experience with any of these 3 7.62x39 hunting rounds? PPU pointed 123 grain SP, Federal Powershock 123 grain SP, and Federal Fusion 123 grain SP. What kind of results did you have with it. Did it expand properly and consistently. Did they have good penetration? How was t...

Re: This "Schmeisser designed the AK" nonsense...

Yeah I should’ve known. It used to happen before too. I just was being optimistic hoping it would be retained. But yeah I feel like my main point centers around how they made all the extra modifications and adjustments on the PKM series of guns and how those turned out pretty successful.

Re: This "Schmeisser designed the AK" nonsense...

Man, I had spent an entire hour crafting a nice comment and then it all went to shit when I had to log back in again. This time I’m going to condense it a bit. I think some uncredited help definitely was provided by the germans but ultimately it was still a more original soviet idea than straight an...

Re: How's Deer season gone?

I went back out the sole day I could go for antlerless season and it turned into another day of not seeing them. Oh well, hoping for a better next year.

Re: How's Deer season gone?

They’re actually pretty common here, but not as much so on public conservation areas where anyone can go rifle hunt, especially after opening weekend. First day I almost hit 2 with the car on my way to hunt, and numerous other days I saw them in random fields on the side of the highway as I went to ...

How's Deer season gone?

Anybody have any luck? I hunted a conservation area this year that I've been to in past years too, with my Yugo M70. Like in past years, I had a tough time seeing anything, but this year was even worse than usual I feel like. I went there for 7 days during the regular MO rifle season (had to work op...

Re: AK-74 800 yard target damage

How would you say a 7.62x39 stacks up past 200 yards compared to at closer ranges in something similar to the railroad ties analogy? Also, does that mean as a general rule, at distances past 200 yards all ammo will have better penetration than prior to it, even with less velocity/energy or how can o...

Well, here's my first entry. http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x270/Haris122/AD80E130-56AF-4E29-8DA8-2988341074C7.jpg Wouldn't have been half bad had I not seemingly whiffed one shot completely off paper. Not sure how I did that, with the other 9 relatively close together. Either way, here it is, s...
