Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: B.O.H.I.C.A. Here we go, off to the races again!:

We have a new & self avowed Socialist group rising within the Democrats & they seem to be welcoming of it. You better turn in them guns because this congress critter named Swalwell (see link) is insinuating the"'gummit" will use nukes against US citizens for exercising constitutional rights. :shock...

Re: M-59/66A1 SKS...

I got myself a Yugoslavian M-59/66A1 SKS rifle this weekend, its all matching serial numbers, so fair everything looks great on it, just lots of cosmline... Watch out and take care. Those sks's are addictive. Pretty soon you will be buying blanks and inert grenades to shoot off of the yugo. Then th...

Thanks Charles for the update on the American Rifleman show. Unfortunately I cut cable and all paid TV services years ago. Maybe I can find it on the internet.

Re: Blind Date with short Chinese Twins

I had a friend who hates bayos give me 2 paratrooper bayos. Sweet! I also called SOG back the other day because I saw where they had the cracked stock ones for 209 dollars but they were all sold out. I'm Sorry I missed out on that one.

do those also have the scope rail rivets on the receiver?

Blind Date with short Chinese Twins

I had ordered 2 of the papratrooper SKS's SOG had the first day they went on sale. Some of the rifles had no lugs and had cracked stocks so I'm glad I jumped on it early. Both of the rifles I got had the bayonet lugs, the proper cut for the paratrooper spike bayo, no cracks in stock, cleaning rod, c...

Re: Who else sent the PW to CMP for a 1911?

Charles, thanks for the info on condition. I had wanted a service grade so it sounds like is likely. I'm waiting on pins and needles to see if I filled out everything correctly and get assigned a lottery number. I hope I will get one this year. They will be mixmasters (like most garands) but it is w...

Re: Who else sent the PW to CMP for a 1911?

No, but it was because I already have several WW1 & WW2 1911 & 1911a1 pistols in better condition than what I think the service grade pistols will be. People are grousing that $1,050 for the service grade is too much but I'm firmly convinced that nobody is likely to lose any money on a genuine USGI...

Who else sent the PW to CMP for a 1911?

Today was the deadline for the packets to be postmarked. I sent mine to CMP the first day (Sept 4th) you could. My Dad carried one of those in the European theater in WWII and he passed away last year so I really wanted to get one. I had thought that it would be hundreds of thousands of people sendi...

Re: CMP Special Grade

I had ordered the field grade CMP special because that was the only special they had in stock at the time (last month). I just checked and ALL the specials are sold out. That particular offering (Field Grade .308) sold out yesterday. Smokey, I owe you double thanks ! For those who want a CMP special...

Re: CMP Special Grade

Thanks Smokey for getting me to consider a special grade. I had ordered afew garands from CMP to fill out my collection ( to get one of each manufacturer, and I still need a winchester). I had a WWII SA, but ordered a Service grade H&R with a LMR barrel and a IHC Service grade. I had read your post ...

I saw a photo recently where they were carrying mosin nagants. I laughed and thought maybe the Nork secretary of defense has a C&R and shops at Classic Firearms.

I stopped entering all those contests (NRA one too). I have enough stuff to waste time on without wasting it on the "Publishers Clearing House Contest of Guns"
