Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Carcano bayonet channel
Well I just went ahead and removed the wood filler. I got very lucky because it only took a few chips at it and it loosened right up and I was able to just peel it out. I can’t even tell it was ever there. I’ll bet a few trips to the range and it would have just fell right out. I’ve actually never s...

Re: Carcano bayonet channel
Only bubba uses wood putty . It was also popular to fill in side sling cutouts with wood putty . Thankfully they only did the bayonet channel. I’m trying to figure out the best way to remove it. If I decide to keep the rifle I will remove it if I decide to sell it I’ll leave that up to the new owne...

Re: Carcano bayonet channel
The bayonet it came with looks exactly like a folder but does not fold. It may have been modified to not fold.

Carcano bayonet channel
It’s 7.35 but not SA marked. I’m really not sure if it went to Finland and did not get marked or maybe it never went to Finland.indy1919a4 wrote:Is this a Finn Carcano?? 7.35 caliber??

Re: Carcano bayonet channel
Any clue why it was filled in? Seems like it would be pointless for bubba to do that but who knows. I wonder if the Italians or Finns would have done that?

Re: Nagant revolver
I had doubts about it being a refurb or not, the finish is very nice and with it being 1944 i though I might get lucky. I do agree that it's likely a refurb that never got the stamp. Thanks for the info.

Re: Nagant revolver
Yes, nice small import mark. I never gave much though about these pistols in the past but now that I have one I like it.
