Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Luger advice...

After doing more research, I pulled my trade offer. Apparently, $1700-$2200 is more in line with reality. PAX

Thanks R,

It's a 1917 but it's been reblued. I pulled the Alby out of the offer. If it flies ok, if not ok. PAX

Luger advice...

Hi Fellas, I've come up on an artillery Luger with 1 mag, holster, & stock. The iron itself is very nice with matching numbers where exposed. The rig has a tool & cleaning rod, but the holster & stock have to be reproduction, as they're virtually new. Sticker price is $3495, but I threw out some SKS...

Re: Midway Movie Review

My son and I went and saw it. Both of us are aviation nuts (I've got some Stearman time) and have a vast die cast collection. We were pleased on it's accuracy, even if they didn't show the Wildcat's mixing it up. It won't win any academy awards, but it was good to see the correct equipment, more or ...

Re: Chinese [0306] Arsenal SKS

as I stated before there is only 2 ways to mount a scope ; that is either attaching it directly on the side of the receiver or on the rear sight, those are the only 2 places on the gun where a scope mount would be rock solid and you won't lose zero There's another way that's proven. You can use a r...

Re: Chinese [0306] Arsenal SKS

With everything matching from that arsenal, I wouldn't try any scope mounting that would mar the finish on your wife's rig. I'd get another, uglier SKS, and turn the Khyber Pass boys loose on it. Fugly, mishmatched SKSs can still shoot good. I've always liked apertures and I've got SKS iron sighted ...

My Pops and many family member were in the 1st Filipino Regiment, some were Alamo Scouts, my dad was an NCO in charge of a rifle squad in support or 2 M1917 MGs. A great man. My cousin has collected much info on their action. They never spoke of any of it when we were young. The 1st and 2nd were at ...

I found this guy a while back for $200 bucks. Re: gun shop scores? bucket items? (not trash can)

I regularly paroose my LGS bargain bins and have scored pretty good a few times. In with a mess of slings bought for $25 bucks was a NOS Romy SKS sling, 2 web Garand slings, and a new basket weave leather one Same LGS, different time, a tin of 1140 Chinese X39 AP on strippers and 2 Russian SKS ammo ...

18.5 inch SKS

Hi Fellas, Anyone out there have or shot SKS rifles that were commercially modified to 18.5 inches? Just curious as to their accuracy, if they're marginally "better", like the 16.5 inch Paratroopers usually are. I'm asking cause I recently scored on a Bubba job cut to that length, without a front si...

Re: Garand found locally. Educate me, please.

Did I miss the price? Price is everything. I picked up my onliest Garand last year, Winchester receiver, SA barrel, and some Winny parts, $1100 bucks with 800 rounds on strippers. I was happy. PAX
