Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: 30-06 blank identification help please!

Non-corrosive, and only in the original sealed box in good shape would a collector have any interest and value would be very little over shooting ammo.

Re: 30-06 blank identification help please!

Yes , Lake City, 1967. They are safe to fire just as a noise blank. If you want to launch grenades I would only use blanks from a sealed box that is clearly marked grenade blanks.

Re: 1903 A3 REAR SIGHT APERTURE MOVES.

If you do an image search it should give you an idea of what you're working with. If the peephole is just moving down the elevation slide then check the screw that holds the little plate on top of it. If that's tight then take the plate off and bend the detent down so it has more friction on the ele...

Re: P17 rear tang screw

To take a guess if you both have M30 screws originally installed from the factory, when Remington ran out of leftover war time supply of m1917 screws they started making new screws that are slightly longer for the m30.

7.62x54mmR round nose.

Found some 7.62x54 with a round nose fmj, silver painted tip and steel case. Looks like it might be Czech. Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

Re: P17 rear tang screw

Your rifle is fine as long as the rear trigger guard screw is in place. The screw hole in the picture is just the top of the rear trigger guard screw hole. No screw goes on top.

Headspace 303 Brit = 30-40 Krag

I'm trying to remember, is the field gauge the same for 303 British and 30-40 Krag? I'm using a disk gauge to check an 1898 Springfield.

Re: M2 Ammo ?

The LC would be Lake City arsenal and is good reloadable brass. If its loaded to M2 standards then it should be safe to shoot in any 30-06 in good working order. If its reloaded by Talon or original LC 69 it will be non-corrosive. Have some fun with the 700 at the range.

Re: Gilding the Lily, Gunbroker Style

He sold another K31 just before this one for $1250. $2475 on 2 rifles, that will buy a lot more lollipops for the suckers.
Is this what mil-surplus collecting is going to become?
