Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Headspace 303 Brit = 30-40 Krag

I'm trying to remember, is the field gauge the same for 303 British and 30-40 Krag? I'm using a disk gauge to check an 1898 Springfield.

Re: M2 Ammo ?

The LC would be Lake City arsenal and is good reloadable brass. If its loaded to M2 standards then it should be safe to shoot in any 30-06 in good working order. If its reloaded by Talon or original LC 69 it will be non-corrosive. Have some fun with the 700 at the range.

Re: Gilding the Lily, Gunbroker Style

He sold another K31 just before this one for $1250. $2475 on 2 rifles, that will buy a lot more lollipops for the suckers.
Is this what mil-surplus collecting is going to become?

Re: .25-45 Sharps

Thanks gabe, the fact that I could build an upper with the barrel being the only caliber specific part and just switch it out with a 5.56 upper and load up the same mags is what got me interested in the .25-45 Sharps.

Re: SBS semi-auto

I was looking at the non-NFA class 3 versions that are out now like the Remington 870 Tac 14 and Mossberg 590 Shockwave. Just wanted to know if a semi-auto version was in the works? I don't want to buy one of these and a semi-auto comes out a few months later.

With the short barrel shotguns out now by Mossberg and Remington that are pump action is there anyone putting out a semi-auto version of one?

Re: cyq P-38 rough and tough

There was some pitting in the bore but that could have come from not being cleaned after firing corrosive ammo. Still shoots a good pattern though.

Re: cyq P-38 rough and tough

I think the rust and pitting is from being stored in the leather holster for the last 70+ years and never being whipped down with oil. As M67 said its not the best way to store a pistol for a long time. I could only guess a WW2 Vet brought it home with him and put it in the basement and forgot about...
