Re: Howdy

Welcome, Much information here from many good fellows. Us "Southern" members like to see pictures of your guns, ...as most cannot read or write! Re: WASR 10

I stripped the wood on my WASR 10 years ago and stained a darker color. Donate?? I am not a democrat but you can find cleaning rods and slings for these fairly easy.

Go shooting and let us know how she does. They may be ugly but they are dependable and fun to shoot.

Re: What to do with this type 99

I am with Rapidrob on this one. I looked for about 2 yrs for a stock and finally found one. They are expensive and rare.
Unless family heirloom I would sell. Not sure what price would be? Original type 99 are up to about $400 around here!

Re: Political correctness?

Political Correctness is way out of control. Has been for years Does anybody whine about the English,Japanese or Mexican flags flying all over our country? How many thousands died fighting against those flags? Now these countries are our Allies, neighbors and business partners. Has anyone thought a...

Re: Political correctness?

I have seen many images of confederate flags used by troops in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and they didn't seem offended. They are just showing their heritage. We have plenty of cemeteries in the South filled with men who died for what they believed was right. I have seen many places that fly both th...

I just got mine yesterday! I keep it on the back of the "throne" in the "powder room".
I live in a liberal university town and surprised they even still have gun magazines!

Re: M1895 in American Rifleman

I don't have one! I should have bought one years ago when they were $ 150 !! stupid me!

My original post was in reference to the one they had in the magazine & just thought their estimated value was goofy!

M1895 in American Rifleman

The April issue of American Rifleman ( I have this old gun ) has an early, unaltered Tula M1895 with No Import Mark. They said value was about $ 650?

Is this right? Seems like only a few years ago a my old pawn shop was selling a them for $150 each?
