Type 38 is not the same.
I have seen Type I barrels on E-Bay and gun broker.

Swiss Vetterli 69/71

Picked up another Swiss Vetterli 1869/71 at local gun show today. :dance: All matching numbers. It has been hanging on the gentleman's wall for 40 or more years he said. Over all in good shape. Looks like he put varnish or shellac on the metal. All the oil in it is dried solid. Missing sling swivels...

Yeah that bolt slam is scary.
But it might take that much of a slam to force the 7.92mm into the chamber. :lol:

I hope I can do half that well with mine.
I loaded 10 rounds and just need to get to the range.

I used a lee 8mm bullet mold. Milled the top down to make 135 gr bullet.

I bought it off of Gun Broker.
The brass I made from 32-20 brass. Shortend and trimmed the rim .020. Fits perfect.

I did buy a Martini Cadet 310
It looks to be in good shape. All the markings are intact and all matching numbers.
The bore looks great.

I'm looking at a Australian Martini Cadet in .310 Greener.
Yeah the prices have tripled over the past years on all Martini rifles.
