Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Lebel prices

I sold some bolt mismatch Lebels 2-3 years ago. Paid $100 and $200 for them a couple months before selling because I couldn't find ammo. Had them on forums $400 buy both for $700. After two weeks and one offer of $500 moved to GunBroker with starting bid of $299. $100 One sold for $885 and the one I...

Re: GEW 98 need year made by serial number please.

I saw the photos of your rifle . It is not an original WWI sniper rifle . The rifle was rebuilt in Germany in the 1930's and went to Spain for the civil war . The Barrel is not a 1940's replacement , that is a date code for the sight replacement . The mounts and scope were added much later . The bo...

Re: Persian Model 30

Persian Mausers Can be a confusing due to all the models and inaccuracies about the markings. There are both Czech Made and Iranian Made Rifles of the same models that are nearly identical, because Iran made them on Czech Machinery. All rifles are in 8x57mm aka 8mm Mauser as far as I know. This is w...

Re: Century buys SSporters

Thank you. Seems Century is working on a retail plus model. That Mexican Mauser is about double what it is worth.

Re: Century buys SSporters

Just checked, most is 200, to 2 grand. 399 for a complet 1903 springfield action. I paid 90 bucks in 1990 for mine with a milled tg. They do have quite a few guns listed. Too many to screen shot. Lookinh for something in particular? I will check for you. Just the Mexican Mauser and the 1939 660 if ...

Re: 1891 Engineer carbine

No screw holes or plate underneath. Also, both pieces of the bayonet clamp/ lug, and both pieces to the rear barrel band are stamped “26” ( all 4 pieces stamped 26 to match the last two numbers of the serial number). Apparently, this was an arsenal conversion and not from an individual. The part ab...

1891 Engineer carbine

Yes there is tiger striped wood. I think I maybe confusing the 1909 as being Cutdown, though they also made original 1909 carbines as well IIRC. Yours has the shorter sight. Usually the Bubba cutdowns will still have the 2000 yard sight. Yours was converted from a Calvary carbine because the sling r...

Re: 1891 Engineer carbine

Nice tiger stripe. Chemically stripped stock.

I believe they were also cutdown from 1891 rifles but I would have to double check for I don't collect the pre 1895 or exposed mag Mausers.
