Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: CZ 52 problem??????????????

Part 19, the slide catch. There was a company offering newly made replace, ents with a thumb release. It was a direct swap out. Might want to get that and maybe one of the new made firing pins. Word is the originals are brittle. So no dry firing. And dont trust the decocker either. Otherwise they are...

Re: New, from Oklahoma

Welcome to the board. To aid your quest look up empirearms.com They travel buying collections and hitting gun shows all over the country. They send out email s listing what's new before posting the leftover on their site. Their stuff sells quick. They also off a "wish list". Tell them what you are l...

Re: So you want to un-bubba a Model 1917. A parts list.

I did the rescue restore as there was no way I could drop 700 bucks on an original rifle. Plus I had fun searching for the right candidate and making parts lists. I made lots of lists. :) And I went new wood over spending big $$$ on original. An easy tell if the barrel has been bobbed is if the gap ...

Re: So you want to un-bubba a Model 1917. A parts list.

It really wouldn't be that difficult if you find one that has been cutdown. Its the wood work that would get tricky. But again not too difficult.
Only hard part would be mounting the front sight. As that would require turning the barrel down a few thousandths. Q

Re: So you want to un-bubba a Model 1917. A parts list.

Good information and lots of pics here. I have in mind doing one myself if I ever run into a chopped sporter with a nice bore. Recently there was one of these modified rifles on gunbroker. It was import marked by that's not a deal breaker for me. The thousand plus dollar price was.. :) https://forum...

Just found out William J Ricca has closed up shop.

For those new to collecting William J Riica was a long time dealer in military surplus. And an expert on zU S parts and the weapons they went in. He had a great wed site, text heavy full of information. It seems he has been in poor health the last couple of years and decided to close shop and sell o...

So you want to un-bubba a Model 1917. A parts list.

So you found a nice Model 1917, Remington, Eddystone or Winchester but bubba got to it first her are things to consider when buying a sporter. First off if the "ears" rear sight protectors are gone it's not worth it as far as a restoration project though it can still be a nice sporter. How is the ba...

Re: yugo shooting high

I am crippled up pretty bad, I would shoot my M1 rifle in my club's highpower rifle matches. I didn't wear any of the gear the other shooters used, just a t shirt between me and that buttplate. I picked up at least one good bruise each time as it would get away from me during the rapid fire string. ...

Re: Pics from before Springfield Sporters closed shop.

Thank you for posting the photo's. It's a shame that S/S stock is now in different hands. Greed will kick in and the prices will soar. They already did. Centerfure systems has a bunch of Mausers from them as well as bayonets. S S had things organized pretty well for the parts. For instance the mode...

Re: yugo shooting high

It should stay in place. And if you are good with a file it won't look to bad. Put a sight hood on it when you get it to the height you like and you are good to go.
But a factory sight will look better.
