Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: yugo shooting high

It should stay in place. And if you are good with a file it won't look to bad. Put a sight hood on it when you get it to the height you like and you are good to go.
But a factory sight will look better.

Re: yugo shooting high

Barley corn is the term for that type of front sight.
Like rapidrob wrote, use the jb weld, shape it and sight your rifle in. Then figure out which height you need.
I saw this and was going t suggest the Swede front sight as they are sold by height.

Re: 1917 Movie

If they want to save money and still make a good movie they should hook up with reenactors. Those guys will have the correct weapons and uniforms. Lots of vehicles. Hell they will dig the trenches as well... I finally saw " they shall not grow old", I liked it very much. More so as I don't think I h...

Re: My rifle from Afghanistan

Cool souvenir. Looks like a standard Kyber Pass made copy of the Martini.
The stock looks like it was for another rifle entirely.
Nice wall hanger.

Re: Would the Brits stain a walnut forend to match?

Thanks guys. I am not sure if my hand guards are walnut, though I think they may be.
I plan on rubbing some blo inside the forestock and see how it goes from there. I am a long way from ready to mount the wood at this point.
I just don't want to be scrambling for tips when I am.

Re: I’m back

Welcome back I did a rescue myself of a Remington m1917.. The stock was chopped, but the price was right. I wanted a shooter so I went with new wood from Numrich. Also hot the new made hand guards and all the metal from them. The stock is great, but you will need to drill a few holes. Namely for the...

Would the Brits stain a walnut forend to match?

I got some wood and bits for a ( hoped for ) no faux sniper build. I have a sporter no 4 maltby with a bobbed barrel, 22 inches. So I am not messing up a nice rifle Step one was nice wood. Step 2 will be a criterion barrel. Step 3 will be a reproduction no 32 scope , w/ mount and pads. I saw a guy o...

Re: Maltby #4 Mk. 1 Data Base

My old girl is a 1942 AA 16910 Maltby.
Parker Hale got to it before ne and it ended up a sporter.
Barrel was bobbed. Forend was cutdown. And a monte carlo buttock added.
