Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: FR7

I like what RWS opined---that said, a guy at our milsurp shoot used a very nice 1916 arsenal-redo to 7.62 NATO. He is not a reloader, so was using the cheapest ammo he could find at Walmart/gun shows. Never had a problem---BUT---we found him a lovely 03A3 Smith Corona (all correct) at a dynamite pri...

Re: Noob Question: Fitting Bent Bolt to Receiver

Looks like you did a good job! I just got a beater, bubba'd (is this a word??) No 4Mk1* on which I will attempt to commit refurb. As I am tool-challenged, never had the nerve to attempt butchery before--figure this one can't be made worse than it already is.

Re: R. FAMAGE pawnshop-sporter project

Prof, I like what you are doing to improve an oldie albeit modded goodie.
For some reason, i would rather hunt with a modded milsurp that shows its military origins--

Thank you! I always relied on the craftsmen on this forum for advice/help/tutorials on how to do it the right way.
Good to see help is still being offered since the "crash"--

Great looking/shooting little carbine. Is that a "rope-wrapped wrist"?? Sounds like a song lyric, or a book title--"The Hardy Boys and the case of the Rope-Wrapped Wrist"--

RR--Thank u for the info---while I like my CAI CETME, some of the H&K stuff is neat and would,IMO, dress up the cheap plastic furniture
on some of the CAI CETME/HK clones--

Re: MAS .308 conversions

A friend had one--the only ammo it would consistently work with was Indian 7.62 dated (IIRC) early nineties--USGI ball, etc would not
get thru a mag w/o problems.

The old ElPaso Weaver K4 makes a nice period looking scope for your faux sniper--plus, they had good glass for the period.
Looking forward to your range test--

Re: The Enfield Rat Rifle

Great rifle--wish it was mine! I really enjoy already-altered milsurps that have been modded yet retain their military heritage.
Having it in a cool cheap to shoot (not Lapua!!) caliber is a plus.

Wish I had the skill to replicate your cool rifle--

Re: Need Help/Advice on a 1903 build.

Hi Ken, and welcome to the forum--- If u can post pics of the stock, one of the experts here could advise u what type (03 or A3) Springfield would be correct for your stock. If it were me, I would look for a lightly sporterized rifle to put in the stock to have a representative "shooter". It would b...

Re: Redfield "no drill" Enfield no4 MK1 rear target sight.

Now that is neat! While not "legal" for our milsurp match, I wonder if one of these would improve my scores--used to laugh at
Brit Enfields years ago, then grew to really like them. Can't shoot them worth a damn, tho a guy at our match has a JJovino Lithgow
that shoots MOA--
