Re: 8mm reloading

“Error net” expert advice worth just what you paid for it. All those Mauser rifles have similar twist rates in all length barrels and they all loaded either 178 or 198gr ball ammunition. Rifles are like women..they are all individuals and NO One on the internet can tell you what yours will prefer. B...

Re: Will this ammunition work with my K98k?

Nothing in Windex can “neutralize” the corrosive residue left in your bore... The salts must be dissolved and washed out.
The magic ingredient in windex is.....WATER! That and it has a bit of surfactants (soap).

Thank you for your help! What do some of these markings mean?
The triangle is the Iraqi factory mark and “190V” is the date of mfg (1957)

Re: Canadian 8mm Mauser?

Very common and inexpensive in the early 1960s as Interarms ended up with the bulk of this ammo. 154 gr Type S lead core ball ammo with Noncorrosive Boxer primers. Originally packed in unmarked 44rd boxes.
Nice ammo and good brass for reloading.

Re: How to read a primer hit

Just realize that reading a primer for pressure to “set your max load” is downright useless and dangerous in cartridges like 30-30 Win, 30-40 Krag, .303 British and any older or milsurp round that operates in the 40,000 psi range or below. When you hit primer “pressure signs” you are above 60,000 ps...

Re: Anybody remember the Garand ammo that came up for sale several years ago on clips?

What you have there is: Remington Arms (RA & DEN) head stamped ammunition. TW ammo is a MATCH ammo for .30-06 According to google, "TW Ball rounds came from the armory of the USS Monticello LSD35 in bandoleers of 8-rnd M1 rifle clips in 1960." I don't think you have the Korean KA ammo there. Do you...
