Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Go here. https://www.swissproductsusa.com/faq Scroll down to the sixth title "what is the process for reloading the 7.5 x 55"? This is a specific for our cartridge, and if you follow it to the letter you will no longer have any of these problems. His problem is with FACTORY ammo and he has no abili...

Re: What's In My Barrel?

The only problem with sweets, which is great product, is the high ammonia content. You can't safely use it for long term soaking because of that & nickelling needs the long soak because you have to break the chemical bond which is what makes it so tough to remove. I have sweets & use it at the rang...

Re: What's In My Barrel?

Maybe Nickel from bullet jackets. Whatever it is WD40 isn’t an effective bore cleaner. You need to try something better at this specific task and brushes not patches. I guess I should have included this on my original posting but these images were taken after the application of Hoppes Bore Cleaner,...

Re: K31 help please

The bullet may be contacting the origin of rifling..makes extraction difficult and prevents full pin impact on the primer.

Check the extracted rounds for marks on the bullet ogives from the lands.

Re: NM MILSURPS January Handgun shoot

Great day for a match! 19 targets were placed out for milsurpers to down.
Beretta 92 downed them with 25 shots
CZ 75 did it with 31 shots
Colt 1911 took 44 shots

Fun for all!

Re: Carcano Bore Brush

Try a .270 brush. It will be stout enough to scrub even a worn 268” bore.

Re: .303 or 7.7????

Looks Iraqi to me and the crimp is normal for .303. Century Arms imported a lot of this ammo in the 1990 era, some on clips and bandoliers and other in 50rd boxes. All I had fired well with no significant # of duds or hangfires. Not match grade ammo though.

Re: Movie 2018, TANKERS, Russian

The translation is from Russian to Polish. not much help. Do a search and you'll find T-34 with English sub titles. It's a good movie for entertainment. I just saw Tankers on you tube with English subtitles: good entertainment, but Tank battles don’t really happen at 50 yards. If they did there wou...

How about “How to ID Albanian SKS” as a thread title

“Identification” is a bit lazy for you and time wasting for those who have no knowledge to help you out

Re: Help Identifying Carcano

Will a .30 caliber bullet fit into the muzzle? Yes? Then it is an 7.92 bore. No? then it’s a 6.5 or 7.35 bore.

Re: reloading data

I found an article that states the American loads max out at 37,000 CUP, while the European approaches 50,000. Based on Winchester and Federal's pages, both of them shot a 170 gr at 2360 ft/sec. Nosler has a 180 gr going 2600 ft/sec and S&B has a 196 gr going at 2592. So IMR/Hodgden website shows t...

Thanks ammolab. Hodgdon website is the same as the IMR I mentioned. Which is apparently a watered down load.
What velocity for your 170gr bullet would this “European 8mm” reach?

Look at the Norma or Vihtavuori loading data if you think European loads are not so watery.
