Re: Help! I had a D'oh moment

OP has not been back since he posted his problem. If he followed the advice which he obviously didn't read, the patch should have been nocked right out.

Re: Whitneyville Walker

You may have to shorten the "hand" which is the pawl.
There is also a method to make the cylinder lock drop sooner so the cylinder does not spin too far.
Right now I forget what that method to time is.

Re: I bought a lemon its fixed

Another words the chamber had been buggered up? If Gunbroker does not do you good somehow, nor the seller give a partial refund, I'd spread the word as best as I could. Most places guarantee a return for a reason like that. ( Although that could also happen from a show purchase also.) Glad you now h...

Re: I bought a lemon

One in ten threads on the barrel. He could turn the barrel by hand if that was the case. He could estimate the overage by making shims from soda cans and seeing how many could be added to bolt face before the gauge stuck. Then measure the shim(s)

Re: Springfield M1903 what do I have here?

Calfed, You are so right! I can't believe I made such an error!
I can't blame it on glasses since looking at the page I grabbed
shows no reason for that error.
I am at a complete loss as how I came up with that answer.
Thank you....

Re: Springfield M1903 what do I have here?

It is basically a M1903 with a 1918 made receiver, and thus it may be sporting it's original barrel. It is considered a "low number" and some are hesitant to shoot them, some aren't. It may have not gone thru a major rebuild. It has an early stock as evidenced by the finger grooves but the stock look...

Re: M1 Carbine Re-Patriation

I hope so.
That would be nice!
Back when the CMP was selling them in 2008, I only bought one. I kick myself for not getting at least 3-4.
I did get a Rock-Ola though.

Re: Help with Krag value?

Collector value lessened by screw hole damage. Assuming sights have not been removed. If the bore is good, that's a plus."Shoots good" is a judgement value that means nothing. What is good to him may be horrid to me. Ammo is not easy to find. If all the parts are there and the gun looks good ; $475 ...

Re: M1903 w 20 rd magazine

After firing off a few rds, you are not sure how many are still in there.
This 20 rd is a extension, the rifle will hold 25 total!
