M1903 w 20 rd magazine

Back during WW1 a 20 rd mag was developed for the '03. Some called it the "Air Service". The war was over before they really became ready to be issued.
Here is one fitted to one of my rifles.

Re: Need Help/Advice on a 1903 build.

The kits to build are all long gone. Better to buy one like Polock says that is in a sporter stock and work from there.

Re: 1903 Stock question

Two marks over on windage does not make your rifle defective, while an uncentered front does not look well.

Re: 1903 Stock question

You have a rear sight that is windage adjustable. The front sight is not really designed to be moved. It has centering screws.
Why you messing with the front?

Re: REMINGTON M1863 PERCUSSION ‘ZOUAVE’ RIFLE REPRO

Use Pyrodex or American Pioneer. Avoid black powder, draws moisture promoting rust, even after a good cleaning.Fouls very quickly with Black to the effect you will have trouble loading after four shots, unless you swab some to remove fouling.

Re: M1941 Johnson Winfield Sporter

Nice rifle...but I take exception to the statement on the Garand of loading,"8 or nothing". You can load any amount if you know what you are doing.

Nice when the retailer doesn't know what he has. It worked out well for you.

Re: M1carbine problems

Here is the movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dizArLleY3I
Watch 1:35 or so, then again
about 6:45. You may have a bad spring that rests between trigger and sear.
That is your problem.

Re: M1carbine problems

Disconnector problem (sear position issue), when you fire the gun and it cycles; the trigger is actually back, in the rearward position. At that point the sear is supposed to catch the hammer notch and hold the hammer back. The sear is not working properly due to it's position and the hammer follows ...
