Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: How to make Splice repairs

This seems to be a trouble area for many rifles. Bolt action Mausers ,especially and many others. What a great result.

Re: Springfield M1903 what do I have here?

Usually $500 to $600 in my area, shows and local gun shops. Shellacking may lower that a bit, but not too much.

Re: Remington model 700

Very cool set-up. Could you post info about, the barrel length,( looks to be about 21" ), the twist rate, and what bullet weight gave the best accuracy. Thanks.

I forgot to consider that some states charge for instant checks. Minnesota is free for all checks. Not sure about Ohio.

Re: Is it worth it?

Welcome Kyle. I feel most, here, would say yes. Let me take the other side for a minute and say that if I was in Ohio I could find more treasures "face to face" then I could hope to afford. Are you close to Oxford? Family Firearms and Finishes is there. Huge and frequent gun shows and many gun shops...

Don't forget local gun shows. I usually see one or two at most shows in this area.

Re: Swedish m96/38 pawnshop sporter

Very nice carbine! Any Chance that the rifle was once a 94 Carbine? The discolored area in the original rear sight location looks too short for the m38 rear sight base.

Re: Archangel Stock for Temporary Sporter

Have not shot with it yet but I put a Remington MN in mine and it fit great. You may find you'll need to remove some plastic directly behind the trigger to get the clearence needed to pull the trigger far enough to allow the bolt to be removed.

Re: The Trick to Using Mosin Nagant Stripper Clips

I saw a Video with a young man doing this. I thought he was applying upward pressure on the tip of the top round, which I then tried with minimal success. This way does sound like better leverage would be realized. Thanks for this info.
