Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Hungarian 91/30

You never see a Russian, or Finn, 91/30 stock with grain detail like that. What type of wood do you think they used ? Beautiful.

Nice condition and very unusual. I would think the bore would be like new also. Great find.

Re: My Liege marked M91

Very nice. "Almost" sure it is a Finnish M 24 with a Bohler Stahl barrel, These are rated 8 out of 10 for rarity on the web @ 7.62x54r.net. What other 91 might be Liege marked? I Hope the more knowledgeable here might correct my guess.

Re: Pawnshop Predicament

Welcome. Most Finnish Mosins ,If correct would be easier to find ammo for and shoot than the other two. The right Finn would be easily be more valueable than the other two. It should have a larger fan base so resale would be quite easy. If you can check the bore/rifling condition of all three that w...

Re: Polytech SKS Hunter Question

Great story about the break. I'd check with Candyman, on this forum: I expect he'd be able to talk you through the process of repairing that break so that the gun will function--and look almost as good as it did before. Good luck with the project, if you decide to go that way. --Prof Yes and also b...

Re: Carcano Test Shoot

Sticky bolt can be one of two things. First if dry fired a lot , the slot that the cocking piece rides in can get beat up . That will make the bolt lift much harder . IT can be sanded back smooth . On the custom rifles I build from Carcanos , the more you smooth up that surface , the slicker the bo...

Re: 1891 argentine carbine nose cap

I too like the look of those handy make over rifle to carbine Argis. Always look at the rear sight. The true carbine rear sight base is way shorter. More like half the size of the rifle rear sight base.

I apologize and ask that you resend it. You may want to do a virus scan and then restart your compute...
