Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: MAS 49

I remember seeing one of these in a shop for $350 when I started collecting 8 years ago. Wish I would have picked it up, won't see a deal like that again. I believe it had been converted to 308. Great looking rifle.

Show us your favorite bayonet(s)

Thought it would be fun to get a thread going of our favorite bayonets and tell us why you like them as much. I have a tie: WCS - No.5 MkI, still has the green anti corrosion paint and got it for a great price Imperial - M4, in unissued condition, blade is factory razor sharp. Italian - M-38 folding...

Circular grooves, plan on shooting it this weekend. We'll see how she runs.

Re: Last Ditch Arisaka

Congrats on your purchase. Sounds like a series 8 Nagoya. The screw shouldn't be to hard to spurce. If someone here doesn't have one I would check the usual suspects; Numrich, Liberty Tree Collectors, Springfield Sporters and eBay. Let's see some pictures.

Re: 1895 Nagant vs Modern Revolver Design

I'll check that out, I know there are some matching marks but I'll have to take a look at it closer for which type.

Where did you pick this one up from?
Nice photos.
I purchased it on GB about 3 years ago.

Re: 1895 Nagant vs Modern Revolver Design

Very interesting, the surplus ammo I have does not have the crimp at the top like the new production ammo does but I do believe the case is tapered down to the same specs at the mouth. My cylinder appears original to the gun. A previous Nagant I owned was not and it was a bear to unload.

Re: Shrapnel hit type 38 carbine

Great little carbine. Looks like the original owner may have had a bad day. Have you taken the stock off to see what it looks like from the inside? Or are you unable to because the front catch won't depress due to the "foreign object?"

Re: 1944 Fazakerley No.5 MkI

Very nice example. Is the bayonet a real one? I lucked into one myself but I had to pay out the rear end for it ($275 four years ago). I have a 45 Faz No5 but the overall condition of it is still like it just left the Far East (remnants of black overpaint on top of the original bluing). The bayonet...

1944 Izhevsk M-44

1944 Izhevsk M-44, this one has been refurbed as most. Large repair in the bayonet grove under the rear sight. I really prefer the old beat up war time stocks.

Re: Finish Tikka M91/30's

Beautiful rifles, I like how beefy the stock on the hex is compared to the later round receiver.

Kokura T-38 Carbine and Bayonet

Here is my Kokura Type 38 Carbine with bayonet. Found a nice place in the yard to take some pics and figured I'd share. Still has the Chrysanthemum, the bolt and cover do not match but came with it when I bought from the veteran who brought it home. It looks at one point that the forend was wrapped,...

1944 Fazakerley No.5 MkI

Was going through the safe and figured I should take some photos. Here is my Fazakerley No.5 MkI with bayonet. I got a good deal on this one back in the day. Had to repair the draws a couple years ago, but now it has a nice tight lock up and is still as fun as ever to shoot.
