Re: Refinishing advice on M44

Well there's a couple of things you can do. Obviously some would say leave it, it's the original finish. There's a little too much missing to try and melt it with denatured alcohol and and fill the areas that are missing it. So there are a couple of options for an accurate military finish if that's ...

Thief :o :naughty: , at $200 I would have tore my pocket off to get my wallet out. I never see garage sales like that. And you actually talked him down
DEAL OF THE YEAR

Yeah, I didn't have the heart to tell him there was plenty of ammo at home for it.

Garage Sale Kar98k

Envy of all those great deals no more. Went to a local garage sale to look at furniture and the guy had a lot of military surplus. Was looking through it and the guy and I started talking. He said he had "some Nazi refle" and couldn't find ammo for it, he'd sell it cheap, since you couldn't get ammo...

Re: RC K98k

I just picked up a decent CE 44 for under $400. Great bore but Ivan went crazy with the electric pencil and scrubbing of serial numbers. But it will clean up into a great shooter.

Re: How to spot a 'Khyber special'

Thanks for sharing this. When I first got into collecting there was a No.5 at the local Gander Mountain. I got really excited but something just seemed off the wood fit funny the markings we just No.5, it was missing the magazine and had a regular enfield buttplate on it. The guy offered me a deal a...

Re: 1944 M1895 Nagant Acquisition

I had a Tula 1933 previously and it just wasn't something I was excited about and was into rifles more. I started to think about adding one to my collection as I was looking for a war time pistol from each of the major powers. I for some reason just really like Izhevsk marking. I bought two tins of ...

1944 M1895 Nagant Acquisition

I picked this one up a little while ago, typical refurb 1944 Izvhesk M1895 Nagant. Got all the post war goodies they came with back in the day, but wanted to up grade. I found a good war time universal holster and original pre war/war time lanyard. Only non Izvhesk part is the hammer so if any one w...
