Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: gun shop scores? bucket items? (not trash can)

I regularly paroose my LGS bargain bins and have scored pretty good a few times. In with a mess of slings bought for $25 bucks was a NOS Romy SKS sling, 2 web Garand slings, and a new basket weave leather one Same LGS, different time, a tin of 1140 Chinese X39 AP on strippers and 2 Russian SKS ammo ...

18.5 inch SKS

Hi Fellas, Anyone out there have or shot SKS rifles that were commercially modified to 18.5 inches? Just curious as to their accuracy, if they're marginally "better", like the 16.5 inch Paratroopers usually are. I'm asking cause I recently scored on a Bubba job cut to that length, without a front si...

Re: Garand found locally. Educate me, please.

Did I miss the price? Price is everything. I picked up my onliest Garand last year, Winchester receiver, SA barrel, and some Winny parts, $1100 bucks with 800 rounds on strippers. I was happy. PAX

Re: Mossberg M44

I listened to you guys and got a 44US, not a 44US a,b,c or d (commercial versions). CMP is out and GunBroker doesn't have one under $300 in decent shape, so I checked out Rimfire central and got one there for a respectable price in decent condition. The work Mossberg did on the rifling back in the ...

Re: Best m1a mags to buy

I've got a new 10 round Springfield mag that I'm never going to use. No gun or plans for one. Has the Crest. Prolly the same type that came with your rig. You can have it for 10 bucks shipped if you want it. PAX

Public Security Forces rescue

Hi Fellas, My onliest PSF SKS that I did the best to save (might have posted it already??). It was hideous when I got it a while back. The rifle came in an ATI Monty with cheese grater HG, and a receiver cover see thru scope mount (two original numbered pieces forever gone), but mechanically it's ma...

I posted this on Survivors: "As sad as it is, it's no loss to me as they would not do business with Kali, having been burned big somehow by the Kali DOJ. I'm sure ignoring 10 million POTENTIAL customers didn't help (which I understand), besides milsurp drying up. I try not to wish "I hope they go ti...

Re: Newbie to gun collecting

Welcome.

I'm encouraged by any foray into the arena. It's a tough hole to row in these times, with the general lack of inventory. Right of the bat you need an SKS and/or a Mosin, ammo wise. Still decent deals to be found. Good luck, we'll be seeing you. 8-) PAX
