Re: Why would anyone want an Enfield

I really like mine. A nice no1 MK 3 Lithgow, a No 4 MK1. en I also have a P-14 and a US Model of 1917. All of which are really good shooters!

Re: Alliant Black MZ Powder

I've purchased my black powder from Grafs. There is a HAZMAT fee but if you can get enough friends to go in on the buy it isn't too bad. Nice to know that Bass Pro Shop has it. Do you know if all of their stores carry it?

Re: They just don't get it......

Actually Mark, most of the left side of the aisle did the right thing and were truly passionate about their condemnations. However, our wonderful Senator brown is still in Oz and his remarks mirror that.

Re: Louisville wasn't a total bust

OOH, Wanenmakers. I've been told about it and have had to stop & wipe the drool off my face. I haven't been there but would really like to. I,d have to save my pennies for quite a while. The OCGA show I went to was quite good. There were more than a few vendors with the kinds of guns that I like. Th...

Re: Louisville wasn't a total bust

Indy1919a4, I usually go to the winter show myself. They moved it from December to January this time around. It conflicted with my annual trip to visit friends in Augusta GA so I passed. I went to an OGCA show as a guest one time. I will have to join this group as the trip is a lot closer, the kinds...

Re: Pics of my MK 1 Webely

S.B. I also dislike it when any company goes belly up. In the case of Gander Mountain, their management seems to have given up trying to compete with Cabelas, Bass Pro Shop and Field & Stream. Their services became fewer and fewer as time went on and what they did offer was not of the standard set b...

Louisville wasn't a total bust

While I have expressed extreme disappoint on the latest Louisville gun show, it wasn't a total bust. I was able to pick up 200 cast bullets for my .43 Spanish rolling block. I know I could have cast them myself for less but being 3 of the laziest people I know, this was clearly the best option for m...

John, that's less than a new set of Lee dies. Great price. Now you need to get some loaded up.

Re: Pics of my MK 1 Webely

Hey Mark, when you pay full retail for something and then try to sell it you aren't going to be around for long. I got my Webley MK 1 and won't shed any tears for those people. In any event, I will need to speak with you about a sizing die for my Webley as it slugs at .448 which isn't even close to ...

Re: Pics of my MK 1 Webely

Yup, Fantasy Mountain is going out of business. When you go by, the remaining minions are standing outside with signs advertising the sale. No real discounts on guns yet.

National Gun Day

I just got back from the National Gun Gun Day show in Louisville, Ky. Compared to previous shows, this one was very disappointing. The number of vendors was much reduced from other events. There was only one vendor with reloading supplies where there used to be 5-6 of them. USA MILSURP rifles starte...

Pics of my MK 1 Webely

DSCN0217.JPG DSCN0217.JPG DSCN0217.JPG DSCN0217.JPG This is my MK ! that I got a stupid good price from a now bankrupt vendor. The powder charge is 18 grains of Black Powder with a 250 grain unpacked lead bullet. While it is more fun than you should be allowed to have when shooting, it is a bona fi...
