Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: EAA Windicator .357 (Nickel)

It doesn't really compare to a classic like a S&W M27, but I don't think it was ever really designed to. Mine has a better fit/finish than most Taurus revolvers that I've shot. Single action pull is nice, double action is not terrible, but could benefit from some smoothing/polishing, if one were so...

Re: RC K98k

The days of $175 RC's are long gone.
Surplus ammo is scarce, but the demand for the rifle is still up there.

I think if you put it up on here for $400 someone may bite.
It may fetch up to $500+ on GB.

Re: BOLT ACTION US RIFLES

I agree. I would like to purchase a newly manufactured 1903a3 rifle if possible. Didn't Mitchells Mausers have a new production Yugoslavian Mausers for sale a few years ago?? They were very expensive with respect to the surplus costs at the time. I would think it would be the same issue here. A new ...

Re: Depriming by hand

Question: Which calibers would you do this for and why? You still have to resize. I use the Lee Universal Decapping die only on my .30-06 cases before I throw them into the tumbler or the sonic cleaner. Much faster than a punch or a nail. Either way, I still need to neck size or FL size to get them ...

Re: First Attempt at Bullet Casting.

A whole new world has just opened up to you.
Start your research on the following:
- Bullet hardness and alloys for differing calibers (lead BHN values).
- Powder coated bullets
- 45-45-10 Bullet Lube
- Sizing dies
- Gas Checks
- Bullet Swaging & Dies

That should be enough for you to get going.

When you say, "built like a tank", kind of Rugerish?
Not too sure, as I don't own Rugers in the smaller magnum cartridges.
The only Ruger revolver I own to compare it to is the Super Red Hawk Alaskan in .454.

Honestly, that's a whole different class, and it's nowhere near that...

Re: EAA Windicator .357 (Nickel)

I'm glad to see a "review" of the revolver as I've never owned one or knew someone who did. They've been in the picture for years, always assumed them to be questionable in the quality department but based that solely on price which isn't necessarily always correct. Would you say they are about lik...

Re: EAA Windicator .357 (Nickle)

Thanks Deacon. I picked it up last week, and shot it this weekend. So far, it's a descent shooter and internal mechanisms are smooth... Ran about 120 .38 special and about 75 .357 . Accuracy was good in SA, and DA trigger is pretty good compared to others. 20170625_205623.jpg 20170625_205615.jpg Few...

Very nice indeed. I only mention the light because they can be a useful tool, or a terrible liability. First, I am not saying you are wrong here, and as long as you like it then by all means go for it.... and second, I believe any home defense weapon should have a light. Any item that can help you i...
