Romania Instructie rifle

Post by Candyman »

I have several Mauser rifles, but one of my favorite is an old beat up Czech VZ24. Just about all the finish is worn off and the stock looks like a corn cob, but I love it.
It was used in Romania as an Instructie rifle. Now depending on who you talk to, they will say the the rifle was used as a trainer and others will say that is was used by what we would call The National Guard.
The one thing I know for sure is, it was well used.

I have one that is a Mosin 91/30. From what I have read these rifles were well used and were deemed "not for front line troops" what ever that means.
Mine still shoots well and boy has it seen service.
