Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Norwegian K98 scope

#1 Post by pmachine » Fri May 03, 2019 11:01 am

Hi.
I have a K98 from Norway.
It was re barreled to .30-06 and was used in the army. It is stamped Haer, Norwegian for army right..
Long story short it was on a shark boat after it was sold from the army in Norway and I got it from the second owner of the boat. (He bought the boat and got the guns. At the time guns were considered part of a boat equipment and there was no licencing requirement)
I'm after a scope for it, but I don't want to modify the rifle to fit it.
I got a bracket from eBay which was meant to fit in to the old sight flip up thing but it wasnt very ridgid so there was no real point in having a scope.
It is a fantastically powerful rifle and I would like to use it for hunting but don't want to go out with iron sights.

This is the mount system I would use. How different is it from what you bought off ebay? It requires a long eye relief scope.

Hope this helps.
