Beretta Olympia .22 Trainer

Post by cwo4uscgret »

I thought I’d posted this before; it’s a late 1950s - early 1960s Beretta .22 LR Training Rifle used to train the police and military basic marksmanship. A unique design, copied from an earlier Walther Rifle. It is a dual action rifle; closing the bolt makes it a magazine fed bolt action; leaving the bolt knob in the up and closed position it becomes a semi-auto rifle!

It seems more accurate in semi-auto mode then single shot!

The wood on that is gorgeous. Quite ornate for a trainer. Very interesting mechanical attributes too. I need to get one of those. Yet something else to add to the list.

That is beautiful.. I had been looking for one of those.. But the price was always up there.. So I ended up getting one of the pre war Walther model 2 for less.. So I am still on the look
