Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

That is a question with no answer . What rifle ? Early T-38's , late T-38's and Type I's all have different size chambers . Also the chambers on rifles of the same group also vary a lot . The actual Japanese cartridge size as designed is much smaller than the T-38 chambers . It is what was used by Norma and that is why their cases are way too small .

Type I. I've cast my chamber and it's too long (50mm)it's closer to the 6.5 Mannlicher Schonauer length of 54MM and no rim shows?

The Type I has one of the tightest chambers , the Italians made it close to the cartridge specs . If your's is that long someone has tried to rechamber the rifle . An aborted 6.5mm Roberts attempt ?
