I have a nice condition case that came with it too. Hard to read the date on the ink stamp though. Also had a towel showed in the top of the case with the words "Naval Transient Hotel" written on it. It's my first example of such a piece since I started collecting Japanese rifles, so I was very pleased to add this one.
The the white case appears to be made by the sailor who brought it home. He stenciled his name on several areas of it and it fits the mortar and its case perfectly.
