Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Looking much better than its original "diagonal" configuration!

Looks perfect. Had the mount been bent?

I don't think so. P-H says to shim or bend to align because that area of the receiver is not gauged so there could be variations. I wussed out & shimmed from this:

Looks good. Now my SMLE needs one of those!

It makes a world of difference. In all honesty I've been avoiding the SMLE because of its sights. When I found this one with the P-H on it for the right price I jumped on it!

That is really nice. Look forward to a range report. Hope you get to shoot it farther than 100 yards.

I took it to the range last weekend. Got a good 200Yd zero (needed with the P-H because otherwise you get into negative vernier settings which is a major pain.)

I started off with South African R1M3Z, but this rifle will not group with it, 15~18" @ 200 is "normal", which is odd because both my No4 Mk2 & My No5 Mk1 will do 5~6" at the same point on the same range.

Switched to a starting load for hand-loads, but with 180Gr Prvi Partizan bullets. Groups shrunk immediately to 5" for 10 rounds, POI changed dramatically too, 9" right & 18" up!
So now I just have to tweak the load for the rifle & I can finalize a zero. I don't get to longer ranges much, but do have access to a 550 yd spot on private land.

Based on a friend's experience the original rear sight blade is getting either flipped over or removed because its very distracting in the FOV through the peep.
