Yes I now, but I just received a bunch of pics of such a beast that somehow relates to an old thread about it.
Unfortunately they didn't mention which forum, which sub forum, which thread or use their user name, so I cant post it for them!
Anyone remember such a thread anywhere?

I'm not 'popular' over there as I 'called' a Mod for encouraging the breaking of UK Firearms Law.

Is it the No5 Mk2 that was prototyped but never went into production ?
Trialed in 1946 but then the No5 was then declared obsolescent in 1947.

I have some notes somewhere about it.

I thought the no5 Mk2 was basically a No 5 Mk1 with the hung trigger of the No4 Mk2?

Nope - totally different re-designed rifle, full length wood and front band moved forward 3"
The aim was to get rid of the 'wandering zero' as it was believed to have been caused by incorrectly seasoned (or not seasoned) wood warping. The No5 Mk1 was produced late in the war when there was not time to correctly season the wood. The results of the Mk2 testing were inconclusive and the No5 was declared obsolescent (not obsolete - there is a big difference between the two) anyway in '47

Small world!
I went searching for the No5 Mk 2 & found this:
http://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=55618

The rifle under discussion is a No5 Mk1 (& is marked as such) but ROF(Bubba) has fitted a sawn off re-joined No4 stock to it.
Kind of the love child of a No5 & a Navy Arms "Tanker" Enfield, built by a Star Wars Jawa gunsmith.
