Has anyone bought one of the regularly $349 G/CS at CIA
Vostok Ural Rifle, Cal. 22LR on sale for $200?
Seems like a great deal.
What are these rifles like? :D Are these super accurate?

I have a Ural and a CM2. Both are tops and my favorite .22 rifles to date an Anschutz may be better I will likely never know.
I think the ones on sale have cracked stocks or are incomplete.
Mine

Thanks for the pics. Really nice! :D Which is the Ural? I notice the rear sight appears larger on the top one. Also, has an anti-glare coating been applied to the barrel of the lower one?

Thanks , the top one is the Ural . The lower one is a Izhmash CM-2.I refinished both of the stocks with Amber shellac. The barrel finish on the CM-2 was kind of spotty so I gave it a coat of Krylon black wrinkle. They both do quite well in club matches.

Found the weight at 10.5lbs but came up with another question. Are these single shot or magazine fed? I'm looking for a biathlon type rifle which would be a bolt action magazine fed 22lr with some decent open sights on it.

I'm pretty much sold on the M44US from the CMP but this rifle certainly piqued my interest. Never even heard of it before.

The Vostok and the CM-2 are single shot.

Thanks. I still have the Ural. After I started to acquire more smallbore target rifles (Valmet and two Suhls) I decided to sell the CM 2. The CM2 is nice but I much prefer the Ural.

I have very rarely considered my left handed rifle shooting a curse. Acually, with a straight bolt handle, I consider it a blessing. After viewing the Ural, I wish I was right handed...Odd thing,I shoot pistols right handed???...Larry

Those are some fine looking .22's.
I checked into a Russian target .22 a while back and the only thing holding me back was I read you could no longer get parts for them. I don't know why that stopped me... it seems like half of what I own you can't get parts for anymore

I bought from CDNN back in 2007.CDNN had them for 200.00 I think and they were kind of a dice roll as to condition.I sold it on Gunbroker,I think I got between 350 and 400 for it.
