I was jealous last week when my SIL got a basically NEW Marlin Model 60 in stainless with a laminated stock for $100 as a throw in with a Marlin lever .30-30 that was $295...
but then I got my buddy the pawn shop guy to sell me this Anschutz Savage 1415/16 for $150...so I'm OK again!

The stock is gorgeous, but the finish is terrible, cloudy at the grip, cracked and peeling in places. Too many small dents and dings for a gun as pretty as this one. So, how do I refinish this baby properly? Or DO I refinish it?
I'm also not too sure about the checkering...?

It pays to shop the pawn shops. Gerat looking rifle you got there. :thumb:
