Candyman's started a post about Turkish Mauser cleaning rods and I also entered some of mine. The Gunny started this post on 10 Dec. 2014. It was a nice photographic record of the variations in Turk Mauser cleaning rods. I am reconstructing this post from the old SRF forum. Some modifications occur do to lost photos, deleted comments, and deleted links to other forums. As always on this new forum format if you see little outlined white boxes: click one one and "poof" all the pictures appear.
Note: there is a corruption from the original post showing up in the highlighted word "cleaning rods" Its a bad link- ignore it. I could not get rid of it.
So here we go.....
Last week in kdwright5407's post NEW TURK, we got a little off topic about Turkish cleaning rods.
So, I thought I would start a post to address the different cleaning rod tips.
When it comes to Turkish Mausers, you will find that there are many types of tips on the cleaning rods. Some are nice some crude and some are just ugly. Some are steel and some are made of brass.
Here are some that are on a few of my (Candyman) rifles.
