Out of three rifles I had one broken trigger spring and two broken striker springs. I used the Norm Sutton recommended hardware store spring purchase for the strikers and made a replacement trigger spring (twice), broke the first one trying to increase tension.

rotted butt stock on the last rifle is my other issue.

wood hardner and French Red applied to the butt stock but I'm not happy with the result. Suggestions?????

Norm,
Thanks for the info and advice. You do great work as has been seen here time after time. I am done for awhile. I have some more modern guns to derust and clean up that belonged to my father-in-law. I am going to place the Nepal guns in the safe and concentrate on the modern ones plus cast some shallow base Minies for my Armi P1853 Enfield when the mold arrives. Regular deep base minies seem to stray all over the country side.
