Urbanwolf,
You got a great looking MH, even if it is a Kyber copy. I am attaching part of a report I did on a copy I got from SOG. They got it back and I got my money back. You didn't get hurt on this buy. Normsutton took a Kyber copy and turned it into a rimfire. He did a great job. Its all good.

    wow those internals are something else! the insides of this on show NO handmade marks at all.
the only markings i can find inside is some rust pitting etc and wear marks. just out of curiosity what were the ones from sog selling for?

I would put it on a rest load a .303 in it tie a string to the trigger and hide behind a tree and see if it fires lol. Looks pretty nice either way.

Get some Cerro-Safe, do a chamber cast long enough to get into the riflng. Then you'll know for a fact what caliber it is.

A guess is not a good standard of proof.

the barrel slugs out at .291 so i could see serious problems with putting a .303 (.312) round down it

Per Urbanwolf's question "wow those internals are something else! the insides of this on show NO handmade marks at all.

SOG sold those for $259 plus shipping. It was .303 and they offered them in 577/450 also. My educational cost was shipping both ways and a bit of aggravation at myself for being stupid. I now own five rifles from IMA.
One Snider (done except for fitting buttplate)

Three Francotte Pattern MH's (wood for all three almost done, barrels back in receivers, actions assembled)

I am sure glad I stumbled on this thread. I was on the verge of ordering one of the SOG Martinis. :x It irks me when you see a business trying to pass off something like this (no pun intended :D ).

i'm glad you saw it to. if they're like mine (i was pretty sure it was k.p. by the time i purchased it) it has a .303 (.312 bullet) chamber but only a .297 bore talk about a bomb waiting to happen! it's a great example of a kp though and i'm very happy with it. but it only cost me $75 so what can i say
