I am wanting to get a VZ 24, however as I understand it they were all with straight bolts. Is it possible to put a bent bolt on one? I am kind of thinking the K98 bent bolts would work?

Yes ,a k98 style bolt will interchange ,just make sure to have the headspace checked to be on the safe side. BTW the 7x57 vz24's originally have a bent bolt.

The only problem, depending on the bend will be the distance between the bolt handle end and the stock, which is why the K98 stocks are notched there.

I don't know how this one came by this bolt, but here's one.

I don't mean to hijack the topic but - can the bolt on the Vz24 be bent? By a qualified gunsmith, of course.

The guys in the sporterizing forum might be able to help. If that fails( or while you wait) ,goggle the "Boltman" on the MN forum. Haven't heard much about him lately, but he used to be the go-to guy for bent bolts.
