I know that! Thats why I donated. I hate to sound greedy but an M14 to carry over here would be nice I ain't to proud to say I've even done my fair share of sweeping floors and taking out trash and such, but my job here keeps my fellow soldiers safe from that bad things and people that try to harm them.

It gives me great piece of mind knowing that there are folks back home that still care about the soldiers, thats why I joined.

anybody wishing to send care packages or anything(must not violate General Order 1B; ie NO pornography, NO weapons/ammo......etc) but letters and such are welcome and much appreciated. For mailing address shoot me a PM as I do not know if it would be wise to post publicly.

Hopefully when I get home after deployment I could meet and shoot with some of the fine folks I have met here as this has been an awesome resource for information and great friends who are always helpful, even to offer some entertainment and laughs.

Question: Just how easy is it for a Afghan civilian to get an AK and ammo? The impression I get is they can be had in any market place. That true?

I left Eye Rack in 2008, COB Speicher, Camp Slayer, Camp Victory and at the beginning Camp Commando and Virginia in Kuwait before we crossed the line. 2009 and 2010 were in AFG, pretty much all over the country.
