It's probably obvious , but I cannot figure how to remove the bolt from my Mle.16 long rifle. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

The screw on the top of the bolt needs to be removed then you can rotate the knob at the rear. This alows the bolt head to rotate into a recess in the receiver and be removed.

There should be a date on the barrel around the chamber area. If your rifle has a handguard you'll have to remove it to see the date.
