Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

VZ24 in 7mm

#1 Post by 8thIDGrunt » Tue Nov 14, 2017 11:20 am

I cannot find the record on it right now but I believe this rifle was supposed to be the property of one of the South American police agencies before it hit the surplus market. It has distinctive numbers on the right side of the receiver and the stock. Another nice shooter and not too hard on my shoulder.

You will probably discover that the Brazilian VZ-24s were originally purchased by separatists trying to create a free state of Sau Paulo. Many of these rifles were then placed in service with the Military Police. That is why the second serial number, prefixed by "PM" is on the right side of the receiver.

That Brazilian Military Police rings a bell. I can't find the purchase information right now. We have been doing a lot of house and shed cleaning here. Trying to get rid of years of useless clutter. I can actually work in my workshop now! Thanks for the information. Hope all is well with you and yours.
