Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.
M96 front sight height
M96 front sight height
I shot my latest swede acquisition a couple of days ago. It's a 1917 CG M96. It shot way high at 50yds. I know that some folks have changed out their front sight post in order to zero at 100yds. I found a source for an after market sight marked 3.5. Is this the one I need to get? I just don't want to get one so tall that it requires too much filing but of course I don't want to get one too short. Tell me what worked for you.

Re: M96 front sight height
Most find that at 100 yards the front sight should be between +1.5 to +2.0. provided you have the military ladder type rear sight. Get a +2.0 and a very sharp file.

This might be of interest to you. I did my own experiment and recorded the results.

Re: M96 front sight height
I will have to check and see which one I got, but it is too tall but I just made adjustments to the rear sight to compensate
