Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Remington 1903
Are the Remington WW2 1903's (not 03a3's) less desirable than earlier ones? If I understand correctly, there were fewer of them made, but prices seen to be lower where I've been looking.

Re: Remington 1903
In my area Remington 03's always command a higher price simply because you don't see them that often and like you said they didn't make as many of them before they got there changes approved by the military and rebranded them to the 03A3. But as to the exact number produced I don't know. should have added that maybe the shop your looking at just doesn't distinguish a Remington from any other run of the mill Springfield 03.

Re: Remington 1903
Something like 348,000 Remington model 1903 rifles were made before the switch ver to 03A3s.
I built one from a complete action i bought from Springfield Sporters in 1990. I paid 90 bucks shipped after tge 15 $ upgrade to a milled trigger guard.
They had nice selection of All the makers including hi low Springfield and Rock island.
I wasn't thinking collector value, but less wear and. Building a rifle.
Tgen spent another 5-6 chasing parts. The hardest being a decent stock . 65 $ with hg and stock metal from numrich.
Then i muffed it by having the whole thing refinished.
the avtion had only 30-40 % of its blued finish. I sure could have used this site then.
At the time decent 03s were ouy of my price line so i buklt a nice one for less than the going rate. All in including the barrel install was 360.

Re: Remington 1903
My '03 is a Remington, and I have always felt there is sometimes a bit of bias against an '03 "Springfield" that is not marked "Springfield." Maybe I'm just projecting my own feelings on the matter...

Beautiful rifle!
