Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Remington 1903A3

#1 Post by 1911Ron » Fri Mar 06, 2020 3:08 pm

I formally adopted a Remington 1903A3 today, it has the correct stock,of the parts I've seen are all marked with an R. It went through Ogden as it is marked with OG on the stock, it may have only gotten a cursory inspection as it has a an 11-43 barrel, I'll have to research the serial number to find the time frame it was built to verify.

This one joins a Smith Corona 03A3 and a Rock Island 03, I love wood and steel rifles!

Enjoy it, I love the '03 springfields. I have one that is really nice but getting the receiver drilled for scope mounts isn't easy. Many of the new and younger smiths don't want to drill springfield receivers, too hard they say. It has a myrtle stock and a low scope safety. For the right $$ I might turn it loose.

Nice rifle. Some (most?) of them are very accurate rifles.
